Ignition Festival Cancelled

Ignition Festival, Newcastle's newest festival, has been cancelled by the organisers after the venue announced it would no longer be hosting the event. Newcastle Racecourse stated that Ignition Festival Ltd had not fulfilled it's contractual obligation regarding safety, so they had no option but to cancel the event.
 
Despite the festival organisers working late into the evening on Wednesday and holding meetings with investors and county councils to locate an alternate venue, there was just too little time to rearrange everything.

After several months beavering away, we're pleased to reveal the new-look website. We feel it is a more polished version than the previous incarnation, and provides a more professional online presence. The biggest change in the site is the front page, which has dropped the news feed in favour of an overview of the content on the site. The slideshow at the top of the page highlights anything we think you might be interested in and may otherwise have missed.
